Ice Works “Elite HockeyTraining” is proud to present the start of its first annual collegiate preseason 3 on 3 hockey league.The league, a first of its kind in the Massachusetts area, is designed for players to keep a high level of conditioning as well as sharpen their individual skills. There will be games on Mondays and Thursdays, followed by skill sessions on Sundays. The on ice skill sessions will provide in depth instruction on skating, stick handling, shooting, and situational play from a professional coaching staff. The high tempo, fast paced, end to end games allow players to work on odd man rushes, create open ice, cycle in the zone, and touch the puck more than in traditional games. 3 on 3 games create more scoring opportunities, which allows goalies to see a lot of rubber. Teams are limited to 10 players consisting of 9 skaters and a goalie. The league will start at the beginning of September run through the end of October with playoffs starting shortly before the collegiate season
starts. High school seniors and all collegiate players are welcome to register. Team and individual rates are available.

Statistics for 3 on 3 compared to 5 on 5
● Players control the puck upwards of 3 minutes per game compared to only 8 seconds in a
   regular game
● Goalies have an average of 48 shots per game, compared to just and average of 28
   shots per game.
● Many games average 22 odd man rushes, compared to just 8
● Players are on the ice for 15 minutes, compared to just 9 minutes in a regular game.


New League
 

The centerline will be u used for icing.	The blue line will be used u for offsides, the tag-up rule is in effect.	All games are officiated u by a certified ref.
All minor penalties will u result in a penalty shot for the opposing team.	All major penalties will u result in a three-minute penalty and a game disqualification.	Any fighting whatsoever u will result in league ejection without a refund.
Shootouts will be used to u settle tie games, the shootout will be comprised of 3 shooters per team.
