IceWorks Elite Hockey School

Our “Elite” hockey School is the most comprehensive 3-day hockey program in New England. Whether the student is a beginner or an experienced hockey player, this school will meet there needs. This clinic consists of 27 total hours of professional training, 12 hours of on-ice instruction, 6 hours of professional dryland training, academic classroom instruction, video analysis and a 5:1 student to teacher ratio. The IceWorks “4S” on ice curriculum; skating, stick handling, shooting and situational play will be addressed throughout the week. Each morning ice session will deal with forward and backwards skating. Players will work on their balance, agility, edge control, lateral & linear speed and striding techniques. Following this morning session, all players will participate in a 2hr dryland training circuit. Here players will work on improving their core strength, lateral & linear speed, torso strength, flexibility, agility, speed and balance. After a lunch break, the players take to the ice for the second time where the curriculum will focus on stick handling, shooting and situational play. While focusing on stick handling, players will work on puck protection; various deke moves, head fakes and their passing and receiving skills. During the shooting stage, players will work on increasing their shot velocity and accuracy; all four shots (wrist, snap, slap and backhand) will be addressed. Lastly, the players will combine all of their skills they have learned throughout the day and incorporate them in game like situational drills. The day will end with the players participating in the Sammy Cup street hockey tournament.
