Holiday Clinics

The Ice Works holiday skills sessions are designed for a player that wants to revitalize their hockey skills for a day! These 1.5hr clinics will invigorate a player while reinforcing their basic hockey skills by using the Ice Works “4S” on ice curriculum; skating, stickhandling, shooting and Situational play! All drills will be designed so Ice Works instructors can monitor and correct a players mistakes during this quick and fun skill session! The Ice Works adjustable parallel bars will be used during these clinics to insure that a player is skating in the proper stance, maximizing their leg extension, resulting in a more powerful and explosive forward and backward skater. Other training devices such as our bungie cords will be used as well, forcing the players outside of their comfort zone with some fun and exciting overspeed training drills! Other stations will include stickhandling devices such as “Speed Deke Trainer”, “Attack Triangles” and the “Extreme Dangler Pro” – forcing the kids to use the proper wrist movements while stickhandling! The incredible “Give-n-Go” passer will also be utilized, forcing players to read and react quickly with their hands while they work on developing a quicker and more powerful shot! Lastly, the kids will play some mini games to highlight their skill set while having some fun at the same time!
