Dryland Training

Ice Works “Elite Hockey Training” has set a precedent for dryland training. Off-ice training is one of the most essential components to the total development of a hockey player. Ice hockey is an explosive and intensive sport that requires the use of complex motor skills. Along with these skills, the demands of the game require a player to be in exceptional physical shape. The Ice Works dryland training program is designed to improve a player’s strength, power, agility, endurance and quickness. Each dryland training session at Ice Works will include sprint intervals, plyometrics, agility courses, resistant and explosiveness training. With our 24-ft mobile training center, Ice Works ‘Elite Hockey Training’ uses only the newest training equipment and techniques to achieve these results. Medicine balls, bungee cords, parachutes, breakaway belts, skating machines and professional slide boards are just a few of the training devices used in our program. With a student to teacher ratio of 5:1, each student is guaranteed individualized personal training.
